The Smirthwaite Asiento is a highly adjustable seating system designed for children, teens, and young adults with moderate to complex needs. Developed with input from clinical professionals, the Asiento promotes proper postural alignment and participation in daily routines—while supporting comfort, interaction, and confidence.
Maneuverability / Portability
The Asiento’s open chassis design and pushbike-style handles make it easy for caregivers to reposition and provide close support during upper-limb therapy, transitions, or calming interventions. With a quiet electric hi-lo base, the seat height adjusts smoothly using a remote—perfect for users who are sensitive to noise or motion.
Power / Performance
Asiento offers extensive postural adjustability: back angle, tilt-in-space, hip guides, abduction pads, and lateral supports—all tailored to support optimal alignment and function. Optional features such as a dynamic backrest provide sensory and physical feedback for users who require additional regulation and movement input.
Comfort / Control
Designed with pressure-relief technology in partnership with Levitex®, Asiento delivers comfort alongside functionality. Standard features include a 5-point Bodypoint harness, adjustable tray, lap strap, and electric height control. It’s a supportive solution that empowers users while simplifying care and positioning for caregivers.
