Built for School Transportation

The standard Ziggo wheelchair is not approved for use in a moving vehicle. The Ziggo Transit fills that gap with two key additions: built-in tie-down brackets and a removable headrest extension. The chair is WC19 compliant, meeting the U.S. standard for wheelchairs used as seats in motor vehicles, and has been crash-tested to ISO 7176-19, the matching international standard.

The tie-down brackets secure the chair in appropriately equipped school buses and accessible vans using an approved WTORS. For travel, secure the chair with a four-point tie-down system and restrain the rider with a crash-tested lap and shoulder belt system, following the transit instructions from Circle Specialty and your transportation provider.

Choose Your Size

Each size comes in its own frame color.

Sizing tip: Measure your child's hips at the widest point while seated. The seat should be slightly wider than that measurement without leaving large gaps at the sides. When in doubt, check with your child's physical or occupational therapist.

Comfort and Positioning

Swing-away elevating legrests with padded calf supports adjust in height and angle, and swing out of the way for transfers. Flip-back desk-length armrests let kids roll right up to a classroom desk or lunch table. The pelvic belt and headrest extension support positioning during the school day and on the ride.

Compatible accessory: The Ziggo seat cushion (sold separately) is the only accessory that fits the Ziggo Transit. Other Ziggo positioning accessories are not compatible with this chair.

Easy for Caregivers

Height-adjustable push handles fit parents, aides, and bus staff of different heights. When it's time to load the car, the frame folds to about 10.4 inches wide and the rear wheels pop off with quick-release axles. The chair weighs 39 to 45 lbs depending on size.

Warranty

Circle Specialty warrants the Ziggo Transit frame against defects for three years, and parts, components, and upholstery for one year, from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover non-durable items such as tires, grips, and rubber parts, or damage from misuse.
