Keep Your Sleeves Dry and Clean When You Push Through the Wet

If you push a manual wheelchair outdoors, your forearms live next to the wheels. Rain, road spray, and whatever the tires pick up end up on your sleeves. Diestco Sleeve Guards slip over your arms from wrist to above the elbow, with an elastic cuff at the wrist and adjustable straps at the top, so your shirt or jacket stays dry and clean and the guards come off in seconds once you are inside. Thirty inches long, sold as a pair.

They are made in the USA by Diestco, a family-owned manufacturer that has specialized in mobility bags and covers since 1992.

Who These Guards Are Best For

  • Manual wheelchair users who self-propel outdoors in rain, snow, or slush
  • Anyone whose sleeves get grimy from handrims after a wet sidewalk
  • Commuters and students who need to arrive with clean, dry clothes
  • Caregivers pushing a chair in wet weather

Key Features

  • 30 inches long: Covers from the wrist to above the elbow on most adults.
  • Elastic wrist cuff: Seals out drips and keeps the guard from sliding down.
  • Adjustable upper straps: Snug fit over a shirt, sweater, or light jacket.
  • Water-resistant fabric: Nylon with a urethane coating and durable water-repellent finish, the same material as Diestco's covers.
  • Sold as a pair: One for each arm.
  • Made in the USA: Made to order by Diestco in Chico, California.

Good to Know

  • Keep your grip. The guards cover the arm, not the hand, so you keep full contact with the handrims. Pair them with push gloves in cold weather.
  • Care: Wipe with a damp cloth and air dry. Do not machine dry.
  • Full lower-body protection: See Diestco Weather Chaps for a lap and leg cover in the same fabric.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Sleeve Guards for?

They cover a wheelchair user's forearms so rain and grime from the wheels and handrims do not soak or stain their sleeves.

Are they sold as a pair?

Yes, one for each arm.

How do I clean them?

Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry. Do not machine dry.
