Designed to assist caregivers during tub transfers, this MJM transfer chair provides a stable, two-section system for smoother movement over bathtub walls. With dual drop arms, a soft open-front seat, and total-lock casters, it offers dependable support in daily bathing routines.
Maneuverability / Portability
Engineered to accommodate up to an 8" tub wall, the extended transfer section measures 28" and connects securely to the seating section for a total combined length of 53.5". The 4 total-lock caster system (5" x 1.25" each) allows smooth positioning before locking firmly into place during transfers. With an overall frame height of 29.5" (floor to top), the chair is built for practical alignment with standard bathtub heights.
Power / Performance
The dual drop arms—secured with safety red straps—support assisted lateral transfers. The durable frame construction is designed for reliable everyday use in moisture-prone bathroom environments. The structured seat section includes a back length of 25", total seat section length of 38", and depth of 27.5", providing balanced support while caregivers guide positioning. Total seat-section length measures 25.25", ensuring adequate surface area for stable transfers.
Comfort / Control
The deluxe elongated open-front soft seat enhances comfort and facilitates hygiene access during bathing. The internal seat width of 13.75" and external width of 19" create a compact but supportive seating platform. Once positioned, the total-lock caster system secures all four wheels to help maintain stability during assisted use. Must be used with caregiver assistance.
