Product Details
The Graham-Field Zenith 7200 is an American-made, full-electric hi-lo bed built for long-term care at home. It lowers to just under 8 inches from the floor for fall safety, rises to 30 inches so caregivers can work without bending, and supports a 500-pound resident with a 550-pound safe working load. Built by Basic American in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, it is the same bed found in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, now available for the home.
Why Families Choose the Zenith 7200
- Low to high in a straight line. A patented hi-lo mechanism travels from 7.95 inches to 30 inches. Set it low at night to reduce fall risk; raise it for transfers, dressing and care.
- Adjustable length. The 35-inch-wide sleep surface adjusts from 80 to 84 inches long, with no extra parts, to fit the person and the mattress.
- Moves through the house. Certified as a transport device under the CMS Emergency Preparedness rule, with 360-degree mobility on four locking casters.
- Quiet and low maintenance. Sealed ball-bearing joints at every pivot, four DC actuators and energy-saving electronics that use up to 66% less power at rest than transformer-based beds.
- Built to be cleaned. SilverSolutions antimicrobial protection is built into the powder coating, and a welded grid sleep deck with cross braces will not sag.
- Tool-free assembly. The bed goes together without tools, and the hand control can be upgraded at any time thanks to plug-and-play electronics.
Standard or Advanced Positioning (APS)?
Both versions give you full electric control of height, head and foot sections from the hand pendant. The Advanced Positioning System (APS) adds a one-button Comfort/Cardiac Chair position, which raises the head and knees together for sitting up, eating and easier breathing, plus a hi-lo lockout so the bed height cannot be changed accidentally.
If the person in the bed will mostly lie flat or sit up with the head raised, the Standard model is a good fit. If they spend hours sitting up, have breathing or circulation concerns, or a caregiver needs to lock the height control, choose APS.
