Hoyer® HPL402 Powered Patient Lift

The Hoyer® HPL402 is designed to support safe, efficient transfers in homecare and facility settings. A reverse-mounted actuator increases knee clearance, ergonomic handle grips help reduce operator strain, and an emergency mechanical down-release enables lowering without power. Leg guards and caster bumpers further protect walls and furniture during moves.

Maneuverability & Access

The low base (5.5" clearance) slides under many beds and chairs. An adjustable U-base widens and narrows using the base control handle to improve approach around chairs, commodes, and wheelchairs.

Power & Controls

Powered boom operation via hand control and onboard battery provides smooth lifting where a purely manual lift may be challenging. A mechanical down-release lever offers non-powered lowering for added peace of mind during a power outage.

Comfort & Caregiver Ergonomics

Reverse-mounted actuator increases leg/knee clearance for the patient, while ergonomic push handles support more natural hand positions for the caregiver during transport.

Safety & Protection

Leg guards and caster bumpers help protect the lift and surroundings. The robust design supports a safe working load of 400 lbs. An optional scale is available.
