The Karman KM-5000-TP Reclining Wheelchair is an ultra-lightweight mobility solution built for comfort, adjustability, and easy transport. Weighing just 33 lbs (without footrests), it’s one of the lightest reclining wheelchairs available—perfect for travel, daily use, and enhanced posture support.
Maneuverability / Portability
This foldable wheelchair features quick-release rear wheels and a compact frame for easy storage and transport. The 14” flat-free rear wheels and 8” front casters provide a smooth, stable ride over indoor and outdoor surfaces, while anti-tippers and toggle wheel locks enhance user safety and caregiver control.
Power / Performance
Crafted from 6061 T-6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the KM-5000-TP combines strength with lightweight performance. The reclining backrest ranges from 90° to 163°, supporting multiple rest and relaxation positions. Swing-away elevating footrests and adjustable footplates offer personalized leg support for extended sitting or positioning comfort.
Comfort / Control
This model includes full-length padded armrests, a breathable high-grade nylon seat and back, and an adjustable-height head pillow for neck support. Whether you’re sitting upright or reclining, the KM-5000-TP is built to provide long-lasting comfort in any position. A rear-wheel version (KM-5000F) is also available—call for details.

The KM-5000-TP comes with a limited lifetime warranty on the frame and cross-braces for the original purchaser. Wear parts and additional components (including footrests and upholstery) are backed by a 1-year warranty. Misuse, abuse, or unauthorized repairs may void warranty coverage. Proof of purchase is required for service requests.
