ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Men’s Adaptive Open Back Hospital Nightgown is ideal for assisted or self-dressing. It features a full back overlap with snap closures at each shoulder, allowing the wearer’s arms to slide into the sleeves from the front—no lifting, twisting, or struggling with a small neck opening. Once in place, the back panels overlap and snap securely, providing complete coverage, comfort, and discretion. This gown is perfect for wheelchair users or anyone with limited mobility, and is suitable for hospital, nursing home, homecare, or rehabilitation settings. The V-neck, long sleeves, and wrinkle-resistant poly-cotton fabric make it practical, soft, and comfortable for all-day wear.

FAQ

How to put on an Open Back Nightgown?

  1. Unsnap both the closures at the shoulder seams of the top.
  2. From the front, slide the sleeves up the arms of the wearer until the opening reaches their back (no lifting required).
  3. Once the nightgown is in place, pull the first panel across the back and snap it in place at the shoulder.
  4. Now take the second panel, pull across, creating an overlap, and snap again.

Why use Silverts Open Back Nightgowns?

  • Caregiver Safety: Caregivers do not have to lift or shift the wearer, avoiding risk of injury and burnout.
  • Great for Limited Upper Body Mobility: Wearers can be dressed without lifting their arms or contorting their upper body as with traditional over-the-head nightgowns.
  • Ideal for Seated or Supine Dressing: The open back means the nightgown can be put on from the front and snapped at the shoulders with minimal jostling. The panels at the back can be snapped into place easily, providing full coverage and discretion from behind.
