Product Details

The Paiseec Q5 Rear-Mounted Controller clips to the push handle so a caregiver can drive the Q5 from behind, the way you would push a transport chair, except the motors do the work. A small joystick under the thumb steers; an LCD display shows speed level and battery. For a spouse or aide walking with the rider, it turns a 26-pound carbon fiber chair into something that never needs pushing at all.

What It Does

  • Drives the chair from the push handle. Forward, reverse and turning from a thumb joystick, with the caregiver's hands already where they would naturally rest.
  • Shows what matters. The LCD reads out the speed setting and remaining battery so the caregiver knows the state of the chair without asking.
  • Keeps the rider in control. The chair's own joystick still works; the rear controller is a second set of hands, not a replacement.
  • No pushing, no strain. Ramps, grass and long hospital corridors take the same effort as flat pavement, because the motors are doing it.

Good to Know

The rear controller is for the Paiseec Q5 only. It ships separately from the chair in its own package, so it may arrive on a different day. Paiseec also offers a handheld Bluetooth remote for caregivers who prefer to guide the chair from a few feet away rather than from directly behind; call us if you would like to add one.
