A two-layer foam core combines a high-resilience comfort layer with an ultra-firm base, giving heavier users pressure redistribution without the bottoming-out or edge collapse common in lighter mattresses. Widths from 42" to 60" match standard bariatric bed frames, and the fluid-resistant, anti-microbial cover is designed for daily care environments.

The Protekt 600 is intended for bariatric users at medium to high risk of pressure injuries who need a supportive, pressure-redistributing surface on a bariatric hospital bed or adjustable homecare bed. How to choose the right size

• Match the width to your bed deck. Bariatric beds are typically 42", 48", or 54" wide (for example, the Proactive Protekt Akra Bariatric bed comes in all three). Choose the mattress width that equals your bed's sleep surface width.
• Match the length to your bed frame. Most bariatric homecare beds have an 80" deck. Choose 84" only if your bed has an extended deck, and 76" only for shorter frames. A mattress longer than the deck will overhang the foot end and may bind when the bed articulates.
• Check the weight rating. Choose a width whose capacity exceeds the user's weight. Note that the bed frame has its own weight limit, and the lower of the two applies.

Care and cleaning

• Wipe the cover with a hospital-grade disinfectant or mild soap and water; do not saturate.
• Unzip and remove the cover for deeper cleaning; keep the anti-contamination flap closed during use.
• Do not launder the foam core. If the cover is torn or the zipper fails, order a replacement cover in the matching size rather than exposing the foam.

Shipping and returns

The Protekt 600 ships compressed and rolled or boxed depending on size. Please allow up to 24–48 hours after unboxing for the foam to fully expand. Because this is a hygiene product, it is non-returnable once removed from its sealed packaging unless it arrives damaged or defective.
