Ultra Convertible Mattress System
The Ultra Convertible Mattress System is an advanced self-adjusting pressure-relief support surface designed to meet the needs of patients at moderate to high risk of skin breakdown. Using integrated chamber technology, internal zoned foam air cells continually migrate air throughout the system, automatically adjusting to every user’s body weight, shape, and position for consistent pressure redistribution and comfort.
Pressure Management & Clinical Use
The Ultra Convertible provides continuous, self-adjusting support without external power. For facilities or patients requiring enhanced therapy, an optional powered alternating-pressure control unit can be added to further promote wound healing and reduce tissue interface pressure. Its clinical versatility makes it suitable for both prevention and treatment of pressure injuries.
Comfort & Construction
The mattress features a Serene® foam topper—the latest high-performance foam technology—delivering maximum immersion, contouring, and comfort even for high-risk patients. A multi-layer heel section helps offload lower-leg pressure to protect the delicate heel area, while full-length lower side bolsters help keep users safely centered on the surface during bed ingress or egress.
Optional raised side bolsters provide added support and fall-prevention for patients requiring greater stability. The top cover is crafted from a micro-climate, vapor-permeable, fluid-proof, 4-way-stretch fabric designed to minimize shear and friction forces while promoting airflow and moisture control.
Durability & Safety
The Ultra Convertible Mattress meets Federal Flammability Standard 16 CFR 1633 for patient and facility safety. Constructed for demanding healthcare environments, it provides consistent performance over time with a high weight capacity of up to 600 lbs (272 kg) depending on mattress size.
