The Platinum Health UltraCommode™ is a padded, foldable commode chair that does three jobs: a bedside commode with the included pail, a raised seat and safety frame placed over your existing toilet, and a shower chair once the pail is removed. Unlike hard plastic commodes, the UltraCommode has a soft, warm, water-resistant padded seat and backrest – which is why it's one of the most comfortable bedside commodes we carry.

When you're done, it folds flat in seconds for storage in a closet, behind a door, or in the car for travel.

Platinum Health has updated the UltraCommode. On the current model, the padded armrests are stationary and no longer pivot or lift. The armrests provide steady support for pushing up to stand and lowering down to sit; users enter and exit the chair from the front. If you need swing-away arms for side (lateral) transfers from a wheelchair, please call us and we'll help you find the right chair.

• Bedside commode: install the pail under the seat and place the chair beside the bed for nighttime use.
• Over the toilet: remove the pail and set the chair over the toilet as a raised, padded seat with armrests for support.
• Shower chair: remove the pail and place the chair in a roll-in or curbless shower; the padding doesn't soak up water and dries quickly.

Care

Wipe the seat, backrest, and frame with mild soap and water or a disinfecting wipe after use. The pail lifts out for emptying and rinsing. Check that the height pins are fully seated and the feet are secure before each use.

Returns

As a personal hygiene item, the UltraCommode is not returnable once opened. If it arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we'll make it right.
