Smirthwaite Juni Hi-Lo Base – Floor Play to Table Height Without a Transfer

The Juni Hi-Lo Base puts a Size 1 or Size 2 Juni chair on a slim wheeled frame with a gas-assisted lift. A caregiver raises or lowers the seated child from 6.3" to 22.4" off the floor with no electricity, so the same chair goes from circle time on the floor to the dining table to a classroom desk. A push handle adjusts from 19.7" to 39.4" for the caregiver's height, and the base slides under most desks.

It comes with a natural wood footrest sized to the chair. At 23 lb it moves between rooms easily and locks in place. The Juni chair is sold separately.

Why the Details Matter

Why hi-lo. A fixed-height chair is right for one activity. A child at floor level is left out at the table; a child at table height is above the other children on the floor. The Hi-Lo base lets the same chair, and the same supportive fit, go to both.

Gas assist, not a motor. The lift is a gas spring, like an office chair but strong enough to lift the child. It works anywhere, needs no charging, and has nothing to fail electrically.

Desk clearance. The base is slim enough to slide under most classroom desks and dining tables, so the child pulls up to the table rather than sitting beside it.

Size by chair. The base is sized to the Juni chair: HL141 for a Size 1 chair, HL142 for a Size 2. It does not fit Sizes 3 and 4; for those, see the mobile dolly base.
