Joerns EasyCare Full-Electric Hospital Bed – Integrated Width 35"–42" x 80" Hi-Lo Bed for Home Use (Up to 600 lb Capacity)

The Joerns EasyCare Integrated Width bed is the same full-electric, long-term-care-grade EasyCare frame—with a sleep surface that expands from 35" to 39" to 42" without tools. Widen it for a larger user or extra room to reposition, then retract it to roll through a standard doorway. Four quiet DC motors adjust the bed, head, and knee sections at the touch of a button, and the bed drops to a 7" low height to reduce fall risk, then rises to 30" for easier caregiving and transfers.

Need a standard-width bed? See the Joerns EasyCare 35" x 80" Bed.

The EasyCare is a configurable bed. Your purchase includes the full-electric integrated-width frame with hand pendant. Side rails, headboard/footboard panels, and mattress are selected separately so you get exactly what you need.

Best For
Larger users who need a wider sleep surface with a 600 lb capacity
Users whose needs may change—widen the bed later without buying a new one
Caregiver-assisted homecare environments
Homes where the bed must pass through standard doorways

What's Included
Full-electric EasyCare integrated-width frame, 35"–42" x 80" sleep surface, 600 lb safe working load
Tool-free width expansion to 35", 39", or 42"
Six-function hand pendant (head, knee, and bed height up/down)
Grid-style sleep deck for airflow under the mattress
Adjustable corner mattress stops that move with the bed width
Two-pedal central locking system with color-coded lock indicators
Baseboard bumper to protect walls and furniture

Choose Your Mobility
Roll-in-Low – the bed rolls only when fully lowered; at every other height the casters stay locked. The simplest, most secure choice for a bed that stays put.
Roll at Any Height with Foot-End CareLock – release the casters at any height from the two-pedal CareLock at the foot of the bed, so a caregiver can move or reposition the bed without lowering it first.

Side Rail & Assist Options
Half-length assist rails (pair) – the most common homecare choice; assist getting in and out without boxing the user in
SoftCare padded half-length assist rails (pair)
Assist handles – a short grab bar at the head of the bed for a hand-hold without a rail

Headboard & Footboard Options
Matched laminate head and foot panel sets are available in Classical (flat-top) or Traditional (arched-top) styles, in five finishes: Natural Maple/Sand edge, Spiced Cherry/Brown edge, Cordovan/Brown edge, Bayou Walnut/Brown edge, and Quartered Oak/Sand edge. Panels are not required for the bed to operate.
Which width? Standard 36" panels fit this bed only at its 35" setting. If you plan to use the bed at 39" or 42", you need the wider 42" panels—call us at 844-795-2930 and we'll quote 42" panels in your style and finish with your bed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Integrated Width EasyCare expand?

The sleep surface widens from 35 to 39 to 42 inches without tools, and the corner mattress stops move with it. Retract it to roll through a standard doorway, then widen it again in the room.

Do I need a different mattress when the bed is widened?

Yes. Use a 36 x 80 inch mattress at the standard setting and a 42 x 80 inch mattress at full width. Joerns PrevaMatt mattresses come in both sizes.

Which headboard and footboard panels fit the Integrated Width bed?

Standard 36 inch panels fit only at the 35 inch setting. If you plan to use the bed at 39 or 42 inches, you need 42 inch panels; call us at 844-795-2930 and we will quote them in your style and finish with the bed.

What is the weight capacity of the Integrated Width EasyCare?

600 pounds safe working load at any width, including the mattress, rails, bedding, accessories, and the person using the bed.

What is the difference between Roll-in-Low and Roll at Any Height?

Roll-in-Low lets the bed roll only when fully lowered. Roll at Any Height adds a two-pedal CareLock at the foot of the bed so a caregiver can move it without lowering it first.

How low does the Integrated Width EasyCare go?

The deck lowers to 7 inches off the floor and rises to 30 inches, the same range as the standard EasyCare, with electric head and knee adjustment.
