The PrevaMatt Alleviate is the top of Joerns' foam mattress line. It shares the Console's multi-ply base and full 2" visco comfort layer, then upgrades the cover to a 4-way stretch fabric that moves with the body in every direction, cutting the shear and friction on skin that a conventional 2-way cover can't. It carries Joerns' longest foam warranty at 7 years, and is the only PrevaMatt available with genuine Tempur-Pedic material for the comfort layer. The firm perimeter and Tru-fit sizing are designed to meet FDA/HBSW entrapment guidelines on the Joerns frames.

Standard Visco or Tempur?
Standard Visco – Joerns' own 2" memory-foam comfort layer. Excellent pressure redistribution at a reasonable price.
Tempur Material – the comfort layer is genuine Tempur-Pedic material, which conforms more precisely and recovers more slowly than conventional visco, for users who want the best available feel. Flat construction only.

Flat or Raised Perimeter?
Flat – a level sleep surface edge to edge. The standard choice.
Raised Perimeter – built-up foam bolsters along both long edges help keep the user centered and provide a tactile reminder of the edge of the bed. A useful fall-prevention feature. Available in 80" lengths with the Standard Visco layer.

Which size?
35" x 80" – fits the Joerns EasyCare 35" x 80", the UltraCare XT, and the WeCare at standard width.
42" x 80" – fits the EasyCare Integrated Width frame at full expansion, or a WeCare or UltraCare XT with the width-extension kit.
84" lengths – for extended-length frames, such as an UltraCare XT fitted with the Joerns 4" length-extension kit. Not for the standard 80" EasyCare or WeCare.

Fits other hospital beds too
The PrevaMatt is a standard-size hospital bed mattress, not a Joerns-only part. The 35" x 80" size fits any full-electric or semi-electric hospital bed with a standard 36" x 80" sleep deck—including the Med-Mizer, Transfer Master, and Platinum Health beds we carry—and the 42" x 80" fits bariatric and width-expanded frames at 42". The 84" lengths fit extended-length frames from any maker. To check fit, measure your bed's sleep deck (inside the head and foot panels): it should be 35"–36" or 42" wide and 80" or 84" long. Entrapment-gap compliance is tested by Joerns on Joerns frames; on another brand's bed, check the gap between mattress edge and rail per that bed's instructions.
