The Joerns WeCare Split-Frame bed brings the stability and positioning of a facility-grade hospital bed into the home in a package one person can carry in and assemble. The frame separates into two lightweight halves that ship by parcel carrier—no freight truck, no pallet, and it fits up a narrow stairway. Four quiet DC motors adjust head, knee, and height, and the bed lowers to 8" to reduce fall risk, then rises to 28" for easier caregiving and transfers.

The WeCare is a configurable bed. Your purchase includes the full-electric split frame with hand pendant. Side rails, headboard/footboard panels, and mattress are selected separately so you get exactly what you need.

Choose Your Configuration
Roll-in-Low – the full-featured WeCare. Includes corner mattress side stops and wall bumpers. Casters release only when the bed is fully lowered, so it stays put at every other height. Height range 8"–28".
Base Model – the economy configuration. Same frame and motors, but corner mattress side stops and bumpers are not included, and the height range is 8.75"–26". Choose this if you're on a tight budget or plan to add side rails (which hold the mattress in place).

Half-length assist rails (pair) – the most common homecare choice; assist getting in and out without boxing the user in
SoftCare padded half-length assist rails (pair)
Full-length rails (pair, with mounting kit)
Assist handles – a short grab bar at the head of the bed for a hand-hold without a rail

Headboard & Footboard Options
Matched 36" laminate head and foot panel sets are available in Classical (flat-top) or Traditional (arched-top) styles, in five finishes: Natural Maple/Sand edge, Spiced Cherry/Brown edge, Cordovan/Brown edge, Bayou Walnut/Brown edge, and Quartered Oak/Sand edge. Panels are not required for the bed to operate.

Choose a Mattress
The WeCare takes a standard 36" x 80" hospital-bed mattress. Joerns' PrevaMatt foam mattresses are sized to this frame and built to meet entrapment guidelines on it:
PrevaMatt Defend – multi-ply foam with a visco heel slope. Dependable everyday support; 500 lb, 5-year warranty.
PrevaMatt Console – adds a full 2" memory-foam topper for even pressure relief head to heel. Flat or raised-perimeter edge; 500 lb, 5-year warranty. The mattress Joerns pairs with its own WeCare packages.
PrevaMatt Alleviate – 2" memory-foam topper with a 4-way stretch low-shear cover for sensitive skin. Tempur option; 500 lb, 7-year warranty.
