The UltraCare XT is the top of Joerns’ homecare bed line—the frame nursing facilities choose when they need the most positioning capability and the highest weight rating in a standard-footprint bed. It shares the EasyCare’s 7" low height and 30" high height, then adds a 650 lb safe working load, UltraLock casters, Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg tilt, a chair position for sitting fully upright in bed, and Joerns’ longest electrical warranty at 5 years. Four Quick Care DC motors move it quietly and quickly.

The UltraCare XT is a configurable bed. Your purchase includes the full-electric frame with hand pendant and foot-end mattress side stops. Side rails, headboard/footboard panels, and mattress are selected separately so you get exactly what you need.

Choose Your Mobility
Roll-in-Low – the bed rolls only when fully lowered; at every other height the casters stay locked. The simplest, most secure choice for a bed that stays put.
Roll at Any Height – UltraLock at Foot End – a central UltraLock pedal at the foot of the bed releases all casters at any height, so a caregiver can move or reposition the bed without lowering it first.
Roll at Any Height – UltraLock at Head and Foot – UltraLock pedals at both ends, so the bed can be locked or released from whichever end the caregiver is standing at. The most convenient choice in a room where the bed is moved often.

Side Rail & Assist Options
The UltraCare XT uses its own rail parts—not the same ones as the EasyCare or WeCare.
UltraCare XT half-length assist rails (pair) – the most common homecare choice; assist getting in and out without boxing the user in
Assist handle, 2-position – a short grab bar at the head of the bed for a hand-hold without a rail
UltraCare XT deluxe assist handle – a heavier-duty grab bar with a larger grip area
Side-stop kit – required if you are not fitting side rails, to keep the mattress centered on the frame

Headboard & Footboard Options
Matched 36" laminate head and foot panel sets are available in Classical (flat-top) or Traditional (arched-top) styles, in five finishes: Natural Maple/Sand edge, Spiced Cherry/Brown edge, Cordovan/Brown edge, Bayou Walnut/Brown edge, and Quartered Oak/Sand edge. Panels are not required for the bed to operate. Panels with a built-in AdvanceCare staff control at the foot of the bed are also available by phone.

Choose a Mattress
The UltraCare XT takes a standard 36" x 80" hospital-bed mattress (42" x 80" if widened, or 84" lengths if extended—see below). Joerns’ PrevaMatt foam mattresses are sized to this frame and built to meet entrapment guidelines on it:
PrevaMatt Defend – multi-ply foam with a visco heel slope. Dependable everyday support; 500 lb, 5-year warranty.
PrevaMatt Console – adds a full 2" memory-foam topper for even pressure relief head to heel. Flat or raised-perimeter edge; 500 lb, 5-year warranty.
PrevaMatt Alleviate – 2" memory-foam topper with a 4-way stretch low-shear cover for sensitive skin. Tempur option; 500 lb, 7-year warranty.
Note: the PrevaMatt is rated to 500 lb. For users above that, call us about a bariatric mattress.

Need a wider or longer bed?
The UltraCare XT can be widened to 42" with the Joerns width-extension kit and 42" panels, and lengthened by 4" or 4–8" with a length-extension kit for tall users. A battery backup is also available to keep the bed operating during a power outage. Call us and we’ll quote the kit with your bed.

Shipping & Assembly
Ships by freight directly from Joerns, disassembled in several large cartons, curbside with tracking. Two people and basic tools are recommended for assembly. Delivery options vary based on location and configuration.
